Please read carefully. These Terms form an agreement between you and the individual operator using the unregistered brand NeuralNexusLab (“Operator”) concerning AstraNote. Contact: neuralnexuslab@hotmail.com. If mandatory law grants you rights that cannot be waived, those rights prevail.

1. Acceptance and legal capacity

By creating or using an account, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy. A person under seven years of age must have an authorised legal representative create and manage the account. A user aged seven to seventeen must obtain the consent of a legal representative unless applicable law permits the relevant act independently. A guardian who creates, approves, or manages an account accepts responsibility for supervising its use.

2. Service

AstraNote is presently a free, plain-text online notebook. Each account may hold no more than 100 notes and 256 KiB across the complete account directory, including metadata and encryption overhead. The Operator may introduce optional paid functionality only after giving separate, clear notice. No purchase or automatic renewal is created by these Terms.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly stop using a compromised account. Usernames are case-insensitively unique and cannot be changed. Email verification and password recovery are not provided; loss of a password may permanently prevent access. Sessions may exist on multiple devices. A session begins with a fourteen-day expiry, may extend by two days through authenticated use, and never lasts beyond twenty-eight days from the relevant login.

4. Your content and encryption

You retain ownership of your note content. You grant the Operator only the limited licence necessary to host, process, encrypt, decrypt, transmit, display, protect, and delete that content in order to provide the service. Available protection is no encryption, AES-128-GCM, or AES-256-GCM. Encryption is selected when a note is created and cannot later be changed. Keys are managed by the server; this is not end-to-end or zero-knowledge encryption, and the Operator may technically decrypt server-managed encrypted content. Encryption normally increases storage consumption to approximately 1.4 times the unencrypted UTF-8 content, while very short notes may exceed twice the size.

5. Sharing

Sharing is off by default. Enabling it creates an unguessable, read-only link and publishes the selected note, your chosen public display name, and a masked version of your email to anyone who possesses the link. Shared pages request that search engines not index them, but no guarantee is made that third parties will comply. You are responsible for the material you share. Revoking sharing, deleting a note, or disabling an account invalidates the link.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not use AstraNote to violate law, infringe rights, threaten or harass others, distribute unlawful material, facilitate crime, store malicious code, attack any person or system, evade access controls or rate limits, automate abusive requests, probe or exploit vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation, impair availability, access another account or note, or cause unreasonable consumption of storage, processing, bandwidth, CAPTCHA, or administrative resources. You bear responsibility for your conduct and content. The Operator may restrict or terminate access reasonably believed necessary to protect users, systems, legal rights, or service availability.

7. Third-party verification

Security-sensitive actions require NexaCAPTCHA Gravity. Verification data is submitted to NexaCAPTCHA and checked server-side. The component may appear in English and may be unavailable. Completing a CAPTCHA does not create a right to have a request accepted; session, CSRF, ownership, capacity, and rate-limit checks also apply.

8. Availability, backups, and changes

AstraNote has no user-data backup service. You must keep independent copies of important material. The service may be changed, suspended, relocated, limited, or discontinued for maintenance, security, legal, financial, infrastructure, or other legitimate reasons. Where reasonably practicable, material changes will be announced. The service is not suitable for emergency, life-safety, medical, legal-record, or sole-copy archival use.

9. Disclaimer and limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AstraNote is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise of uninterrupted, error-free, permanently available, or completely secure operation. The Operator is not liable for loss caused by matters outside reasonable control, third-party services, user credential loss, user sharing, incompatible devices, or failure to maintain a copy. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that may not lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence where applicable.

10. Account disabling and deletion

A confirmed deletion request immediately revokes sessions and sharing. For seven days, valid login credentials and a new CAPTCHA may cancel the request. After that period, the account is permanently inaccessible and cannot be restored. Identifiable account data is retained only for the deletion process and is manually erased no later than two months after the request, subject to a longer period required by law or necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims. Until physical erasure, the username and email remain unavailable for registration; afterward they may be reused.

11. Intellectual property and open source

Repository source code identified as such is licensed under Apache License 2.0. That licence does not grant rights in the AstraNote or NeuralNexusLab names, logos, service presentation, user data, or third-party materials. Except for rights expressly granted under an applicable open-source licence, the Operator reserves all rights in the service.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are principally governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without excluding mandatory consumer, privacy, or jurisdictional protections applicable to you. The competent court at the Operator’s locality in Taiwan is the agreed first-instance forum only to the extent legally permitted; this clause does not deprive a consumer of a court or small-claim forum provided by mandatory law.

13. General

If a provision is invalid, it is adjusted or severed only to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder continues. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. The English and Traditional Chinese versions are intended to express the same substance; where interpretation is required, mandatory law and the version most favourable to a consumer apply to the extent required. 一、同意與行為能力

建立或使用帳號即表示您已閱讀並接受本協議與隱私政策。未滿七歲者須由合法法定代理人代為建立及管理帳號；滿七歲未滿十八歲者，除所在地法律允許其獨立為相關行為外，須事先取得法定代理人同意。為未成年人建立、核准或管理帳號的法定代理人，同意負責監督其使用。

二、服務內容

AstraNote 現為免費純文字線上筆記服務。每個帳號最多一百篇筆記，整個帳號資料夾（含中繼資料及加密開銷）上限為 256 KiB。未來如推出選擇性付費功能，營運者將另行清楚告知；本協議本身不成立任何購買或自動續費。

三、帳號與安全

您應提供正確資料、保密登入資訊，並於帳號疑遭入侵時停止使用。Username 不分大小寫判斷唯一且建立後不得更改。本服務不驗證 Email，也不提供密碼復原；遺失密碼可能永久失去存取權。可同時於多裝置登入。每次登入初始有效十四日，經已登入操作每次得延長二日，但自該次登入起最長不超過二十八日。

四、使用者內容與加密

筆記內容仍歸您所有。您僅授予營運者為提供服務所必要的有限權利，包括託管、處理、加密、解密、傳輸、顯示、保護及刪除內容。可選擇不加密、AES-128-GCM 或 AES-256-GCM；加密方式於建立時決定且之後不得更換。金鑰由伺服器管理，因此並非端對端或零知識加密，營運者在技術上可能解密。加密後通常約占未加密 UTF-8 內容的 1.4 倍；極短內容可能超過兩倍。

五、分享

分享預設關閉。開啟後會產生難以猜測的唯讀連結，任何持有者可看到該筆記、您的公開顯示名稱及遮罩 Email。分享頁會要求搜尋引擎不收錄，但無法保證第三方遵循。您須對分享內容負責。關閉分享、刪除筆記或停用帳號時，連結立即失效。

六、禁止行為

不得利用 AstraNote 違法、侵害權利、威脅騷擾、散布不法內容、協助犯罪、儲存惡意程式、攻擊人員或系統、規避存取控制或速率限制、濫用自動化請求、未經書面授權探測或利用漏洞、妨害服務、存取他人帳號或筆記，或不合理耗用儲存、運算、頻寬、CAPTCHA 及管理資源。使用者須自行承擔其行為與內容責任。為保護使用者、系統、合法權利或可用性，營運者得採取合理限制或終止措施。

七、第三方驗證

敏感操作須使用 NexaCAPTCHA Gravity，驗證資料會交由 NexaCAPTCHA 並由 AstraNote 後端確認。元件可能以英文呈現或暫時無法使用。完成 CAPTCHA 不代表請求必然獲准；系統仍會檢查登入階段、CSRF、所有權、容量及速率限制。

八、可用性、備份與變更

AstraNote 不提供使用者資料備份，重要內容須由您自行另存。服務可能因維護、安全、法律、財務、基礎設施或其他正當理由而變更、暫停、遷移、限制或終止；合理可行時將公告重大變更。本服務不適合緊急、生命安全、醫療、法定紀錄或唯一副本保存用途。

九、免責及責任限制

在法律允許的最大範圍內，本服務按「現況」及「現有」提供，不保證永久、不間斷、無錯誤或絕對安全。對於非營運者可合理控制之事由、第三方服務、使用者遺失憑證、自行分享、裝置不相容或未自行備份造成的損失，營運者依法得免責或限制責任。本條不排除法律禁止免除之責任，包括依法不得免除的故意或重大過失責任。

十、停用與刪除

確認申請後，所有登入階段及分享立即失效。七日內可用有效帳密及新的 CAPTCHA 取消；期限屆滿後帳號永久無法登入或復原。可識別帳號資料僅為完成刪除程序而保留，最遲於申請後兩個月由管理員清除；法律要求或為法律請求之主張、行使或防禦所必要者除外。實體清除前 Username 與 Email 不得重用；完全清除後可重新註冊。

十一、智慧財產與開源

Repository 中明確發布的原始碼依 Apache License 2.0 授權。該授權不包含 AstraNote、NeuralNexusLab 名稱、Logo、服務呈現、使用者資料或第三方素材。除適用開源授權明示授予者外，營運者保留服務的一切權利。

十二、準據法與爭議

本協議原則依中華民國法律解釋，但不排除適用於您的消費者、個資或管轄強制規定。在法律允許範圍內，以營運者所在地有管轄權之臺灣地方法院為第一審法院；本約定不剝奪消費者依法得使用的法院或小額訴訟管轄。

十三、一般條款

個別條款無效時，僅於必要最小範圍調整或分離，其餘仍有效。未行使權利不構成放棄。英文與繁體中文版本力求同義；法律要求時，應依強制規定及對消費者較有利的解釋。相關問題可寄至前述聯絡信箱。
